- Theca. End of the 18th century
In glass with gold leaf decorations, the columns are gilded in gold leaf, while the central frame and the edges are in silver and mecca.
Oil painting depicting Our Lady of Sorrows.
This antique theca has been positively documented and seen after the restoration by the Italian art critic Vittorio Sgarbi.

Conservative restoration of the large carved wooden pulpit.
Restored with silver and using mecca technique.

- Repository of the 700, Church of San Cataldo (Knights of the Holy Sepulchre)
In faux marble and pure gold, is presented with several missing carvings, and part of stucco skipped.
Conservative restoration:
– Cleaning;
– Consolidation of the original pure gold and the remaining pictorial film;
– Wood carving of the missing pieces and after that, priming with plaster of Bologna and rabbit glue.
– Red bolus for the preparation of the application of pure gold;
– Apply gold and polish in fine aging;
– Imitative pictorial phase for the pictorial phase to imitate the fake marble.






- In reference to the publication above, this is where I delivered the restored Repository to the Holy Sepulchre of the Knights.
I wanted to share with you these photos of my work and the architectural beauty of this Church built on 1154 – 1160 in Palermo.









- Large eighteenth-century candlesticks in silver and mecca.
The candlesticks were very damaged due to other interventions suffered over the years. They were full of gold enamel, eaten by woodworm and with some missing pieces.
As you can see from the photos is enamelled in gold and silver.
General restoration:
-Removal of the enamels applied over the years, to bring to light the pure silver;
– Anti-worm treatment;
-Grouting of gypsum Bologna and rabbit glue, sanding, bolus, application of pure silver, polishing, mecca and ageing.








- Moor of the end of the nineteenth century. General restoration made for a family in Attard. In pure gold and with various decorations.











- Conservative restoration of the painting and the pure gold gilding. Work made for a family in Valletta.











- Integrative restoration of the 18th relicts, St. Peter and St. Paul.
In silver and mecca and areas painted in marble.
Missing parts were redone, the pure silver leaf was applied, besides mecca and ageing.

After cleaning the pure silver came out.

- Silver frame and Mecca from the 1700s .
The frame is painted with gilded enamel that over the years has received several layers of paint. The restoration that has been carried out is an integrative restoration.
Removal of all enamels applied;- Mothproof treatment;- Bringing back to light the pure silver;- Mecca technique and ageing.
