Integrative and conservative restoration:
Cleaning of the whole statue
Remodelling of the left arm with the hand
Ageing of the wax to imitate the colour of the original one.
- Our Lady of Sorrows- late 700s.
The statue is composed with a paper-machê dress, but head, hands and feet are made with wax. The statue was very damaged with parts of the hand fingers missing and toes, the face was very dirty. The paper-machê part has been painted several times with colours that were unsuitable for the original.
Conservative restoration:
Clean all the paper-machê and bring back the original colour.

- Restoration of the eighteen-century Baby Jesus in paper-mâché
It had damages in the hands, feet, face and hair.
- Wooden and plaster statue from the middle of the 1900s. Christ Child statue.
The statue had missing and damaged fingers, and lack of the film of painting.

General Restoration
The crucifix was moth-eaten on the side of the feet, but above all damaged by inappropriate paintings done over the years.
Restoration:
– Removal of all non-original paint and restoration to the original colour;
– Anti-worm treatment;
– Pictorial restoration;
– Final ageing.

- The Christ Child. This statue has been restored and cleaned up. The work didn’t consist only of cleaning but also of rebuilding the left arm and hand. The restoration has been made for a family in Attard.
- Our Lady of Assumption in the Church of St John the Baptist in the Franciscan monastery of Baida, Palermo, Sicily. The hole on the forehead has been restored with the use of the wax.
